I remember a while back, when my friends had just started to do parkour and i offered to go around with them to take photos and videoes, as well as for the social stuff. We found ourselves at the civic centre in sunderland, as usually happened. I was standing on top of a vent or something and i could see over sunderland, I could see the streets and the parks, the hospital and the flats.

I remember thinking, this is my city, I've grown up here and its been my home for 16 years. I know it like the back of my hand and thats when I set about trying to expose the better part of sunderland, not the scum and graffiti, not the rural areas littered and abandoned, but the better side. The side that makes it a place not to live in, but to enjoy living in.

Or maybe im talking shit, meh. Just a thought I once had. Also provides and explanation as to why im always taking pictures of sunderland, doesn't it?
